[Harkonnen] [15.12] Full Screen mode doesn't fill the Full Screen
[Harkonnen] [15.12] Full Screen mode doesn't fill the Full Screen
Hi,
when I start the Game with the setting "Full Screen" enabled, to game Window misses pixels at the bottom and on the right side.
You can fix the error by switching to Window mode with Alt+Enter and then again to full screen.
This happens reproducible with all 0.15.x versions.

Re: [15.12] Full Screen mode doesn't fill the Full Screen
I think it has something to do with "UIScale: 105.574%" in the log
Re: [15.12] Full Screen mode doesn't fill the Full Screen
Does this UIscale apply to Factorio or Windows?
I set the Factorio UI Scale to 100% and have still the same problem. The UIScaler of Windows is 100%.

Re: [15.12] Full Screen mode doesn't fill the Full Screen
Same 90% there, but system default (100%) is selected, so this is probably not the case. I could not replicate it here. Another question - do you have any kind of multimonitor setup? If yes - do they run same resolution?
Re: [15.12] Full Screen mode doesn't fill the Full Screen
No Multimonitor. One 24" 1920*1200. Windows 10 x64 1607 LTSB
Re: [Harkonnen] [15.12] Full Screen mode doesn't fill the Full Screen
Still trying to reproduce... what if you run windowed mode, but maximize the window?
Re: [Harkonnen] [15.12] Full Screen mode doesn't fill the Full Screen
Dammit. I solved it after your PM..
I tried to start the debugging, but wasn't able to reproduce the issue through it.
Then I started the factorio.exe, still wasn't able to reproduce it.
Then I started it through my start menu shortcut, the issue appeared again -> I did something to the shortcut
Turns out I played in Windowed mode in the past. And due to this I set the shortcut to "maximize Window on start"
When I switched back to classic full screen I left the setting in the shortcut and produced this "bug"
Is this still worth investigation, or should we just leave this here as my fault?
*cough* I'm so sorry *cough*

Re: [Harkonnen] [15.12] Full Screen mode doesn't fill the Full Screen
Well, it's still some strange behavior I will look into it. Btw, just in case it does not repro on my side - throw that text from console window of factorio-run.exe when it reproduces on your side.
Re: [Harkonnen] [15.12] Full Screen mode doesn't fill the Full Screen
I confirm that this happens when shortcut is set to Maximized. Allegro does a bunch of extra actions after creating a window like repositioning it afterwards, etc... I am not sure if cleaning up that code would solve this issue and if Windows is designed at all to work properly with such shortcuts on fullscreen windows, so since we are to clean up that code some day anyway, moving this particular thing to Won't Fix
EDIT: pressing alt-enter twice solves this problem.
