Can't open savegame

Hi there,

I just updated Factorio from 0.10.[i don't know] to 0.11.22, but when I try to open my save (from about 3 months ago) it says 'Trying to make chunk at unreasonable position [-31264, -31264]'; is there a way to restore the savegame?

p.s.: I had two mods, DyTech Inserters and Telebelts, installed and now removed; I hope that this isn't caused by those

It might be related to biters trying to spawn in the same place, but since you can't get into the save you can't open the console..

You could try downgrading back to 0.10.[something], then open the console and type in:

Code: Select all

game.killallenemies()

Then save it, upgrade and try loading the save again.

I don't think that's the issue because I completely turned off biters etc. when starting this world; Could there be any other reason?

So after downgrading I was able open the save and could continue playing, but I'd really like to play one of the recent versions

I also tried 'game.killallenemies()' but after saving and loading up the save in 0.11.22 it still gave me the same error

Well, there was a bug, where entity was moved to some unreasonable position. It triggered creation of huge amount of map just because of it and other problems. So we decided to check it, so the player knows when it happens, so it prevents him to save the map in this corrupted save.

However in 0.10 the check wasn't there so the save can't be loaded, I'm sorry about it, but you have to start a new game if you want to play.
