i am positive that this request will pop up many more times when this game gets more popular, so, i ask to reconsider.
mod availability or not, this "design desicion" just seems unnecessary burdening to me:
where is the gameplay benefit here?

I'm still trying to figure out what near/far inserters have to do with this pic.tecxx wrote:i am positive that this request will pop up many more times when this game gets more popular, so, i ask to reconsider.

Re: Assign Near/Far on Inserter
what he is showing in the pic is an example of what we have to build to get items on both sides of the conveyor belt. A near inserter will place items on the the inside of the conveyor belt where the far inserter will place items on the outside of the conveyor belt.Turtle wrote:I'm still trying to figure out what near/far inserters have to do with this pic.tecxx wrote:i am positive that this request will pop up many more times when this game gets more popular, so, i ask to reconsider.

Re: Assign Near/Far on Inserter
Hm. That is, what he needs to built. Others make it quite differently. There are about a half dozen options alone in this pic to change it:
- turn the second miner around
- side insert
- use splitters to balance it
- don't care the side
- built more miners, so that the belts are full, no matter what is used
- ... Much more ...
I play the game now for more than a year, this was never an issue and it is the first time someone said it.
Btw: how should that logically work? The ores fall out of the miner on the belt and it is of course the side on which the miner is.

Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Re: Assign Near/Far on Miner
Next time people will ask for self building factory that has has "teleport output" and input everything in 100 tile radius.
This game is about solving such problems, without them it will be boring.

Re: Assign Near/Far on Miner
Agreed with Dark. This problém solving makes the game the fun it is.
