Automatically Download Missing Mods for Online Games

I wonder if this could be an option at some point.

Many games automatically download private server options and mods when you join them. It would be nice if the same could be done in Factorio if enabled by the server (some people might not have that extra bandwidth..) so you would not have to worry so much about getting files. You could also join servers to get modpacks on purpose.

I don't know if this is possible already, but also creating Game Profiles where in every profile there are some options/mods enabled for when you play offline. So you can have bob+angel profile, vanilla, ...

This is something that has been hinted might be possible for 0.15, with Configurations for mods being implemented. where the configuration can be set to that of a server, it stands to reason it might also download mods to match the server.

Of course, it has only been hinted, not confirmed. I may be wrong however, as I'm not as in the loop as I used to be.

It's said in one of the FFF's (I found for example https://www.factorio.com/blog/post/fff-165 ) and I cannot imagine, how 0.15 should work without it. So moved to implemented (even not 100% sure yet).
