I have been working on better ways to move "stuff" and in high volume, 250k steel chests, I have 4 bot zones and a few silo bot environments for a total of +600000 bots split between mining, supply and manufacturing.
This is in no way efficient but it does grind production and moves stuff around as needed in a demand and supply environment.
Check it out, pretty fun build.

1896 hours and 600k bots of duh
Re: 1896 hours and 600k bots of duh
Okay, buffers outside of train stations are bad.
That massive brick of chests and all those tanks are completely unnecessary if you build with constant consumption in mind.
Especially that heavy and light oil storage is not needed since you only ever need petroleum.
You might also want to look into trains.

Perhaps drood wanted to have a train-free campaign? Give constructive critisism (telling how to improve rather than say it's outright terrible).
Remember, some people just play to play and have fun, don't care about strict efficiency (spaghetti networks for example).
