A way to see Destruction over Time

TL;DR
A way to visualize what areas of your base have required the most repairs over time would be very insightful for military analysis
What?
Similar to how Power, Production, and Trains can be analyzed with charts and geographical data, an interface visualizing where and what buildings were destroyed over a period of time feels similarly fitting
Why?
A way to analyze what buildings have been destroyed would give very valuable information pertaining to: weakest areas of defense / highest areas of attack / critical defense points / building waste, which I believe are very valuable to improve the performance of one's factory.

This would also be very helpful for looking at space platform designs and how survivable they are.

Keeping track of fully detailed information of what was destroyed when and where might be a bit too cumbersome to store efficiently.
But a simple heat map of where things are most frequently destroyed could be useful. You'd only need to store the "where" part of the map, set it to 1 when something is destroyed and decay or diffuse the values over time which should be doable fairly efficiently with just graphic shaders.
Maybe also give a way to clear the map of old data in case someone wants to rebuild their space platforms or just wants a fresh, untainted analysis of their new defenses.

This would be a good start.
Also, in the production statistics pane, the kills tab shows buildings 'killed' by enemies. It doesn't help with location, but it does provide a little more information for analysis and planning.

I started playing around with this idea;

Maybe I might pursue this
