Re: xbox multiple selection
Hm, I haven't had any issues with my controller in copying or deconstructing. What happens when you try to drag the copy or deconstruction planner?

Re: [Controller] Allow reordering quickbars
I wish you luck in this! It sounds ambitious, and from the tiny bit I know about modding I know that you can't directly modify base game GUIs, but it sounds like this might be just making a new Gui? I suppose if you can access and modify the data model for the quick bars, maybe you could actually pu...

How do you reorder train stations with a controller?
I know with a mouse you can click and drag the stations in a train schedule by the "handle" which is the box to the left of the "X". But I can't figure out how to do it with a controller. Pressing the normal "click" button isn't working with free cursor mode, and I've t...

Re: [Controller] Allow reordering quickbars
I also play with a controller and agree that this is a pain point. Both of these ideas are good: 1) Ability to reorder quickbar pages 2) A new UI (not only for reordering quickbar pages) that also allows editing the all the quickbars and easily moving items between them. Importantly, without needing...

Re: Programmable Speaker alert signal variables
I really need this. It would change the whole game. I could create a whole system of customized alerts. Without the ability to programatically set the alert symbol or text, its not feasible. I set up a whole system expecting there would be some way to get get a custom alert when an item is low. It c...

Circuit network buildings play sound effects while paused
To reproduce: 1) Create an "active" circuit. And by "active", I just mean that you can hear the "calculating" sound effect of a circuit building such as a Decider. 2) Select that building which is playing its sound to open its gui 3) Pause the game (The "Pause game...

Re: Convenient indication of which item causes "item ingredient shortage"?
Thank you both for the helpful images, LCStark especially your mockup for how this could look. That is sort of what I imagined too. I really like the idea of showing a fraction only for the items that are deficient and not for the ones that are full. This avoids any color-blindness issues because we...

Re: Allow connecting wires to funaces
I'm sort of to the game. Is connecting circuit networks to assemblers a recently added feature? I find it odd that we can connect to them but not electric furnaces. I wanted to create a circut that involved reporting the contents or status of a group of furances. With assembelers we can "read w...

Re: Convenient indication of which item causes "item ingredient shortage"?
That's only on clicking the building right? Not on hovering it?
I can just barely make out the red with my color blindness (not enough for it to be very helpful), and I'm pretty sure it's not in the panel on the right when you hover the building.

Convenient indication of which item causes "item ingredient shortage"?
When a building with a recipe has a shortage, it says "item ingredient shortage" or "fluid ingredient shortage" in the panel on right when the mouse is hovered. This message is vague; it does not specify which ingredients are short. In order to determine which are short, you can:...

Re: Friday Facts #419 - Display Panel & Inserter pickup fixes
Just found my way here to add my voice to the discussion about the "Show in Chart" label. In my native english "Show in Chart" means it's going to be in the statistics panel. I can see the vague resemblance of "chart" to "map". The word "cartography"...

Yes please. This is absolutely a waste of space in single player. Total clutter. Also my username is annoying and I didn't expect to see it in game. Please let me hide it.

Allow controllers to configure which buttons are modifiers
The number of shortcuts available to controllers is very limited, but modifier buttons allow a significant increase. Xbox controllers have a total of 14 non-modifier buttons: - (4) X, Y, A, B - (4) Directional buttons - (2) menu buttons - (2) RB, LB - (2) analog stick buttons There are 4 possible mo...

Bot "Minimum Operation Time"
This seems a bit strange name of a metric to me. I think that this actually means "Maximum Operation Time" if it is the time it takes for the bot to operate at something at the maximum distance.
Am I misunderstanding?

Re: Mouse cursor shows when using controller and opening steam overlay on windows

Re: Mouse cursor shows when using controller and opening steam overlay on windows
Thank you @Tertius I appreciate the information. I have a background developing desktop software (and not video games) for MacOS and Java so I admit I don't really know how Windows or Steam works. I see I was wrong in what I said above. Based on what you provided though, I can conceptualize a soluti...
