xbox multiple selection

I'm practising with the Xbox 360 controller, which is new and needs a bit of practice.
but in all the combinations, i haven't found how to make a multiple selection like selecting something to copy or selecting a region to remove the trees

I'm looking in the shortcuts and I can't find what I'm looking for

Hm, I haven't had any issues with my controller in copying or deconstructing. What happens when you try to drag the copy or deconstruction planner?
