Re: 3 gripes after 5000 hours

My solution for mid-game and later

1. Trains are really not effective in Space Age. 90% of goods (iron/copper ore, plates, gears, cable) - not need to be transported. They are moved to pipes and can be crafted in-place. The rest goods (mostly coal and stone) can be transported with belts or ...

Re: Increase Cargo Landing Pad Throughput

I vehemently disagree with the assertion of bots not becoming the limiting factor for UPS. I'm currently approaching 30k SPM for all off-Nauvis sciences, but by far and away the biggest bottleneck is getting them from the landing pad to my labs. Running this process with bots drops my UPS ...

I am using just a single belt for all asteroids, and just reprocess to what I need. It is really fast and I am using only solar panels for my aquilo ship, so do not see any issues. Just research your turrets damage and asteroid productivity

Support my 10-reactors setup easily (actually 90%+ of time this setup is sleeping)
Priority Uranium-238 from depleted fuel cells
Have small dashboard with reactor temp, water and steam

Re: Smallest ship with an early-game technologies

I have managed with a single chemical plant and reassembled for a higher speed to make in 8-cells width.
So the size decreased to 71.6 tons
Not sure how much is stable, but was able to reach Vulkanus and returns back to Nauvis without problems

Players like this guy telling wube that it's fine are high-risk - wube could put out a shit sandwich and this guy would dedicate another full work-year becoming shit sandwich connoisseurs and desperately try to sell you a shit sandwich when you directly complained about the shit in your sandwich ...

Re: Smallest ship with an early-game technologies

I found a cool idea how to control asteroids with a single constant combinator, so new size is 72.6:

03-05-2026, 23-07-54.png

And I know that it is possible put all logic to a single decider combinator, so the minimum possible ship should be 72.2, but still not managed to do that.
Need to ...

Best gleba science build block

I have started with belts to exchange all items.
Then I tried to use chests as building-to-chest transferring is much faster, but chests are small and can't connect many building.
So I have switched to cargo vagon, where you can use filters, but it is also not comfortable
So in final blueprint I am ...

If you want more holmium - you need more scrap. This is fact. So the only way to get more specific items - process more scrap.
Here is my idea, which is pretty scalablem especiall when you have fundament to bring multiple belts from source.

Re: Belt Storage ( spoilers )

I have 5 sections integrated in ship, each of section is pretty optimized. And I have few extra lines, which allows to send asteroids directly to another section in parallel, which allows me to reduce time need to fill storage.
The same with science pack - some extra way to get asteroids in parallel ...

After some time playing Factorio, I realized that maximum "non-megabaze" size is limited with two green stacked belt.

First of all two green belts pretty easy to produce, instead of three and more belts.
Second part - hab output. With some tricks I was able to connect 40 legendary stack inserters ...

I think that multi-mall should be built using drones and simple logic.
Why I think so? Because
1. The main production of Factorio - science packs, so all the rest can be built without high level of performance, so not need to create a huge factory. Maybe a separate production point for things like ...

To clean bugs with artillery, you need to build defense enough to kill all bugs which comes to your base after artillery shoot.
