Hi,

Ive the same issue, different entities, different liquid, same behavior.

As soon as the pipes are empty, the liquid switchs.

Click a pipe for an option to empty any extra fluids that might have gotten stuck in there.
EDIT : Maybe there ought to be a warning about pipes with multiple fluids ?

There already is a warning about mixing pipes with different fluids.

However, it only triggers if you try to lay pipes manually, not if you mark them as ghosts or in a blueprint so that bots place them.

I'd say ghosts. Most of the time you are not physically present on a platform and even if you are, you are building out of hub's inventory, not yours.
