[12.10] Updater Failed

[12.10] Updater Failed

I just updated to 12.10 using the updater, when starting the game automatically after installing the new version I got an error message, which is also in the Logs

Had the same error - game tells that it's 0.12.10 after it failed in this way.. hard to tell if it actually is. Log attached.

Looks like in both cases it had to do with test mod. Could it be that a change in 0.12.10 broke something in the mod?
I don't have this mod, and I get no error when updating...

I'm getting a different error auto-updating from 0.12.9 to 0.12.10 (OS X 10.9.5):
Update failed:
File /Applications/Games/factorio.app/Contents/data/changelog.txt has unexpected content
I don't have any mods installed.

It's some kind of autotest mod done by devs - you don't use it normally. It's in tests directory.

A bit more detail about the Changelog version of this issue:

- That error comes after the update is downloaded
- Afterwards, the changelog is for 0.12.10
- I then tried to start a new game and got some sort of lua error and coulsn't play. Sadly, I forgot to copy the exact message before deleting factorio,app and re-downloading.

Same here, both automatic and manual downloads. Went back to 12.09.

Same, here. entities.lua not found, when I look in the file it is there, but the path is aquard with going to __PATH__read-data__ and then .. back again and into mods.

Log attached.

Edit: starting factorio and loading a save got not futher errors, ingame version info says 0.12.10 now.

Thanks for all the reports. This problem is caused by some of the optimizations in zipped package loading. On windows this problem should be solved when 0.12.11 is released, on mac updates between 0.12.9 and 0.12.11 will be broken and will require manual download.
