Where to go from here.

Hi guys!

So, I'm looking for a bit of advice on what to do with my game. All my game's settings are default. I've got a solid base up and I've wiped out everything nearby on the map. However, I'm slowly starting to run out of resources (still have quite a few of each) and my Tank and handheld weapons are just not enough to tackle alien hives anymore. Especially just beyond the area I've cleared, the enemy bases are so thick and numerous they're essentially a single game-wide nest.

Where do I go from here? I don't think I have enough resources to get to planetary missile platforms with what I've got left and clearing more is basically impossible under current circumstances. What do?

Most people use laser turret creep as strategy to clean nests. I have never done so, so I can't tell, but I guess it's pretty efficient, as it only uses electricity, which is quite cheap to produce. But you'll need a crapload of turrets I think.

Distractor capsules and power armor.

I would say either laser turret creep, or using distractor/destroyer capsules along with power armor suit or even just your tank. If you use Distractors try throwing them on top of the spawners or worms. It makes it harder for the enemies to attack them and that way you know they are in range to kill the spawners/worms. Poison capsules also work quite well against worms.

Laser turret creep might be the easier method if your low on resources, it is just time consuming and energy hungry, so make sure you have some good power generation before doing that.
