Oh yeah it has to be the equalizer chest.. would make sence since it's something that get run every few seconds and it would get worse as you place more in the map.

The chests themselves I think run fine, it is if I place them over top of another chest that an inserter is moving into or out of. That seems to trigger the issue.

yet it was doing it every 30 seconds at some point and I was the only one in the map and not touching the chest.. but now it doesn't happen anymore and we keep adding more and it's still running fine..

not sure what was happening sooner.

Might not have been the chest. I have no idea how to read the logs in the desync folder to figure out which item was at fault. :/

We were doing ok until 12pm reboot.. managed to get a bunch of desyncs in after that.. but we could talk for a while, and do stuff.

And then the server lost connection with a desync, and caused my client to upload the map to the server (!). Not sure if roy/devil saw the same thing. My client crashed shortly thereafter. Well, thanks for all the fun - try again tomorrow =)

all I saw was player <server> desync, followed by <server> joining game. then my client crashed.

I tried connecting and after about 2 minutes I got rolling disconnects. I would have to agree with your previous thoughts about the equalizer chests being at fault. Factorio doesn't seem to like things teleporting around, potentially as if it's even a fraction of a second off on each client then all the clients wouldn't agree as to what was where.

I was hoping it would just convert the chests to normal ones. I figured it would be better to remove it than desyncing all day.

Darn, I really liked those chests. It let us make some really clean train loading/unloading stations. :) If it really was causing the desyncs, hopefully the mod author can eventually locate and fix the error.

If you are adding mods in the future, since we don't have equalizers, could I request the Warehouse mod?

I don't have links.. but FatController I've heard is good.

This map has been fun, but the biter attacks were extremely rare, and very few biter bases. I've enjoyed playing with the mods - thanks especially to roy and Devil.
