Item Destroying

It would be very nice to have a way to remove the random assortment of items that tend to build up after a long time on one map. The typical items like boilers after steam power has been removed from the factory or burner drills after you fully go to electric drills. Perhaps it could be worked into a sort of recycler that you could easily put the little bits and bobs into and get a small amount of the ingredients of what the item was made of, such as with an iron gear for example, maybe 50% of the time when you are putting them into the recycler you get the iron plate back like you put into making it. And the other 50% of the time it is only destroyed, just how you wanted in the first place.

Put the items in a chest, then destroy the chest.
