Edit: now made a 3ed version: based on testing in main world I found that you really want to maximize the number of chests. and have it so each station can output as much as possible for when only one is used. Not as compact as the Mk2 but almost as good.

The Single bluePrint can be placed to start with and then later you can build the x3 blueprint over it or you can just use the single blueprint a few times it over laps quite a bit with it's self.

Note there is a lot of overlap between station blueprints you might need to Shift click to place.

The belt can't move the ore fast enough to allow all six inserters pr. side to unload at the same time, that will result in either 8 or more chest just being full of ore and they only come into play when everything else is empty creating uneven throughput.

The rest seems really nice, but you might as well reduce it to 4 or so chest pr. wagon side. Since the great thing about the design is the limited height, nothing much else to do to solve the problem.

I'm confused by the red belts as they will never move more ore than the yellow belts can feed them...Though, nice station for yellow belt feed.

You make a good point but 6 will unload a train faster even if it cant put it on the belts. Then if there is a gap in the trains there will be a small flow or ore from the last chests.

Yes one train station will at most only output 4 yellow belts worth of items but it was made to be stackable so you can build the same blueprint under it and that station will output another 4 yellow belts onto the red belts.

Why refuelling from a splitter? You can take directly from the underground belt.

Good point, the splitter is wast full. Helpful suggestions are always welcome. I might not always agree but I always like to here them.

Yes I could only get 5 chests on the second cart so I only put 5 on the first. But I got a better design in mind. Might wait for 0.13 before posting because that is likely to change things.
