[0.13.0] Crash on savegame load

Post by stormforce770 »

Hi!
My Factorio install just crashed when trying to load a savegame. Here is the log:

Using Factorio on Arch Linux x64.
The savegame was previously converted from 0.12.35, it was working fine.
Thanks in advance!

PD: Could this be a Steam Cloud issue? Maybe it broke my savegame and it has nothing to do with 0.13

Please upload the savegame, the 12.35 version if you still have it.

Sorry, I don't have the 12.35. Overwritten :P

Here is the savegame, it doesn't matter if I can't recover it. I just want to help you guys.

As I was saying, this was a converted save that worked fine. Made some changes even (train stops and the awesome stack inserter). I loaded and saved it several times yesterday.
I'll try it in my home PC when I leave work, if it works there then maybe it's a sync issue.
I'll let you now!

Thanks in advance!

Re: [0.13.0] Crash on savegame load

I have this same exact issue. I am running on linux mint.

* I have a save file from 0.12 but I did not have any trains added until 0.13. It's 5MB and I am happy to upload if it will help but this seems to be a train error and like I said, no trains back then.

1) Converted and played locally on 0.13 for a bit.
2) Saved and moved to the server
3) Played for about 2 hours off the server
4) Player 2 joined, played for an hour
5) Server crashed
6) Let me continue locally
7) Saved that file when done locally

Both the headless server and the local save I made crash. On the server I get the exact output stormforce770 has included. I am attaching here the log file from the desktop which is different.

Note: The filenames are different because when I saved the local copy I overwrote my personal save game :(

EDIT: Added save file game, also previous autosaves fail in the same way also.

Re: [0.13.0] Crash on savegame load

Post by bchmura »

I've gone back in an attempt to retrace my steps. If checking the load after stuff like:

* Started building rail
* Started placing rail
* train
* wagons
* train schedule

etc

if there are any suggestions on other places to test, please let me know :)

EDIT: Did everything again, as close as possible - still working for now. Only thing I did not attempt was changing a train stop name
