Can't burn trees

Hey,

I'm pretty experienced with factorio but now I got a problem I haven't had before.
my flamethrower doesn't harm any trees!
I checked the forum search and the known bugs, but I couldn't find anything helpful.
Any advice? I need to make space

seems like I was wrong. I was just wondering why the health of the trees wouldn't decrease, but it seems like the forest is actually burning down

Burning is a different mechanic to damage on trees, you'll notice they don't get destroyed as they do if you shoot them but often they'll leave burned husks. That's why their health bar isn't going down, because it's not affecting their health stat.
