balance items in chest

i have 4 chests (warehouses) next to each other with inserters in between them. items are inserted to the far right chest only from a mining drill. im trying to balance the load between them but the issue is that the chest is filled with mixed ores and im trying to set up the inserts to shift ore over to the next chest if it has less in it than the first one so that all 4 chests are even to load a train.

ive seen that before but the post says it cant handle multiple item types and i was trying to do it without sort everything first

i made such a contraption once. its also capable of handling multiple item types.

There's a brilliant mod called Equalizer Chests that does exactly what the name implies.
It equalizes the amount of items in other equalizer chests that physically connect to it.
It disregards item types and only goes for equal total numbers.
Perfect for stations at mines and storage areas.

brathahn setup did exactly what i needed. i modified it slightly has i only needed it balance everything in one direction going to the left.
