Symbol on furnaces and crafters showing produced item?

In quill's videos and other places there is a large beaker symbol for example on the crafter that is producing them.

Likewise the furnaces show a picture of steel or copper plates depending on what they are smelting at the time I think.

How do I turn this feature on in my game?

Press the ALT key for alternative view,
And
Look into the options, there are tons of other, not well documented keys!
