Black Border

I just started to play the game and after playing the tutorial i went into free play with default settings. First i thought everything was fine but when i tried to go in any direction i was only able to move to a giant black border.
Here is a picture:

I spent multiple hours on this map is there any way to fix this or do i have to create a new map?

It is not a bug, it is just edge of the map.
You might have specified size of the map, can you provide the save game?

loading that string your map is set to 200x200 tiles. it's is the edge of the map as Kovarex said.
if you want a larger game set it higher, or to 0 blank for infinite.
