Just shift+click in the crafting menu to grab a ghost entitiy.

For me that only builds all items of that type that I possibly can build...JimBarracus wrote:Just shift+click in the crafting menu to grab a ghost entitiy.
Is that a mod you've got running?

It was more like a suggestion for the vanilla gameDaeruun wrote:For me that only builds all items of that type that I possibly can build...JimBarracus wrote:Just shift+click in the crafting menu to grab a ghost entitiy.

the picker extended mod gets quite close to that, but I don't use it.

From previous posts the way it will work is that you set a filter in your toolbar. Then if you try to pick up that slot and nothing is in it you get a ghost that you can place.JimBarracus wrote:It was more like a suggestion for the vanilla gameDaeruun wrote:For me that only builds all items of that type that I possibly can build...JimBarracus wrote:Just shift+click in the crafting menu to grab a ghost entitiy.

Another way it could be implemented (and that would not require you to have the item set as a filter on your toolbar). Hold down shift. Press q to use picker to grab a copy from the game world. Then place ghosts as per normal. When you are finished release the shift key.
Re: Small annoying things in Factorio
You can't (Q) or ghost place an item because the item is not in your inventory
All my rage. All of it.

I was talking about another way the devs could implement this feature request.

On the topic of construction bots pulling the last of an item out of your hand, I’d like the option to prioritize base network bots over personal roboport construction. So if I’m in the construction zone and the network has the items available, then the network will build items first, and only resort to my personal inventory and bots if the network can’t provide.

I always walk away from my construction site when I build something in my main base area.
Personal robot ports are only usefull when you are in a remote place e.g. building your defense line

They certainly should have an off switch that doesn't drain all the power.

Re: Small annoying things in Factorio
There needs to be a toggle hotkey to disable personal roboport usage. Sometimes you just want it off, like when you're driving a car and crash into a tree, you could just keep going but you would end up leaving a robot behind since it popped out to repair the 1 damage dealt to the vehicle.

That's another annoying thing. Bots should be automatically disabled when you move faster than they can fly.shadetheartist wrote:There needs to be a toggle hotkey to disable personal roboport usage. Re: Small annoying things in Factorio
You can quickly disable bots by opening your armor and ctrl-clicking the roboports to shove them back in your inventory. Any bots on the prowl will immediately turn rogue, which is a bit of an annoyance.
It would be nice to turn the personal robo on/off for REASONS.

And loose all that charge you carefully collected with solar panels. And when you arrive at your destination and want to build something the bots all want to recharge quickly and nothing gets done.bobucles wrote:You can quickly disable bots by opening your armor and ctrl-clicking the roboports to shove them back in your inventory.
