Running a car at speed into a cliff should damage the car.
Cars take some damage from ramming trees. A cliff is somewhat more stout, so should also damage a car that rams it.
Cliff impact should damage car.

Makes sense. I'd say water should hurt too, as it's basically the same as the cliff in terms of what it does to the car currently... but I'm not sure if that would be liked... though, try driving your car into the water and not hurting it.

It worked that way in testing and it was *really* annoying because of how much damage you'd take from hitting a cliff.

And i suspect taking just a Little bit of dmg will make it just as annoying as trees are now, so the best idea is to not take dmg

I strongly disagree with collision damage. Car is a pain to drive as it is due to tree collision. Cliff collision will only make things even worse.

Or even a better idea: Fix car controls already!
Driving a car in Factorio is like trying to perform a delicate brain surgery with machete. That's the source of the annoyance, not the hit damage.

Both the too-instant steering of the car, and the collision damage are annoying. Fix both plz!
