At 89% loaded, a dialog box appears regarding an unexpected error. The loading bar makes no further progress, and the program window does not close when I left-mouse click on the circular red 'x' button in its upper left-hand corner. I force-quit the application.
This error message appears each time I click "Play" from within Steam.
From within Steam, I uninstalled Factorio. I then used Finder to delete the application directory ~/Library/Application Support/factorio. After reinstalling Factorio via Steam, the problem persists.
I am running Mac OS Mavericks (10.9.5) with 8GB RAM and the built-in Intel GPU (1024MB video memory).
