Current behavior:
Contrary to every other item in the game the default logistic requst size of modules is 10 instead of stack size.
Expected behavior:
The default request size for modules should be the module stack size like it is for everything else.
(All requsts in this modded screenshot are exactly stack size, except for modules on the bottom left.)
I guess someone made it this way initially so players don't request too many "valuable" modules? But that's does not really reflect actual module use in factorio.

NaB, the default request size is defined to be 10 in the code, so working as intended.
I'm an admin over at https://wiki.factorio.com. Feel free to contact me if there's anything wrong (or right) with it.

Re: [0.16.28] Module logistic request default ignores stack size
As i said, i expected someone made it this way intentionally (a long time ago). I just don't see any reason for this inconsitency. And there's no "Inconsistency Reports" subforum :P.
Edit:
OK. So initially this seems to have been implemented in 0.11.11, that was 3 years ago? (here) I don't think that reflects how factorio works today. Modules are not a rare resource, especially not Tier 1.
Edit2:
Well. Bleh. Reading through that thread. Kovarex himself didn't seem to agree to that even though he implemented it. speed modules T1 are nowadays required for science packs, so mass production is normal as opposed to the exception. And the meta-game is shifting to megafactories. Bleh. Too minor to care for then i guess. Sorry for the fuss :P

I'll forward this other devs to discuss if it is still desired behavior.

Nice! Thanks :). It might be worth considering what the effect on the novice players is here (as that seems to be related to the original change). The small request size suggestes (at least to me) that modules are rare/valueable and should be used sparesely. But the actual intended use is "put modules everywhere" is it not?posila wrote:I'll forward this other devs to discuss if it is still desired behavior.
