Are you serious? 10 and 11 were quite entertaining and productive. Not the slightest bit comparsion of thinking 1 minute about a single research.

And now up to watch 12.

<Trangar> _aD, what are you blabbering about?
<_aD> Hydra Dilemma
<jeroon> _aD is addicted to the daily factorio soap opera
<_aD> Exactly what jeroon said.
<_aD> this is one of the best episodes yet
<_aD> -root had an affair last time!

While watching 12 and noticed that the video production is in front one round I just want to lay your attention on a usable solar-layout without any substations ;)
Please. This prevents my mental breakdown ;)

In the picture I use this setup which is a bit weak (A = Accumulator, P = Pole)

Code: Select all

AAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAA
AAPAAAPA
AAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAA
AAPAAAPA
AAAAAAAA
Better is this, because it connects in every direction (and I don't have a picture up yet)

Code: Select all

AAAAAAAA
APAAAAPA
AAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAA
APAAAAPA
AAAAAAAA
Edit:
Here is the picture of it

A question for all players: If you don't read this thread until your next episode is played and after you played you also read this thread, the earliest reaction could be not before the second episode after the "problem" was set. Is it meant to be so? Perhaps it would be an idea to have a comment-thread for every player which the other player can totally ignore to not be spoiled in anything. So this would be a way of commenting to a player before his next episode. But he knows how the reactions to his last videos were without worrying anymore - also from factorio-players without a youtube-account.

Like:
@Fish (Ep. 11): No, you were not a noob. Regarding to this mean start you played pretty well.

@Infectum (Ep 12): One other cool thing to use is a mouse wheel. Then it is easier to find the ends of to traversing walls.

Perhaps I should rename it to "The Fixer" or "Cleaning up messes" sense that is pretty much what I did. :p It was a lot of fun, but man these guys sure know how to get my blood boiling. :D

If you were entertained by the Blue Science pack issue in my episode 3, or the following episode by FKOD, I'm sure you will get a kick out of this one. hehe

Hope you all enjoy!
Don't worry. The worse part of your episode was set up here ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIxj79u1 ... sn#t=21m21 ) and you just got trapped in it. The connection of the two SP3-parts isn't as a small achievement as you might think. It prevented much bigger messes.

Yup it seems FKOD is the one who messed up the electricity. The factory is getting so messy, it's crazy.
Hehe I was laughing so hard when -root filled our inventory with stones. :D Perhaps I need to start leaving some little surprises for FKOD, and -root. ;)

You should make an uber steam power plant of doom. If you work on your weaknesses, they can become your strengths!

Isn't that called a biter-magnet?
Instead of inviting them I rather go to visit them at home

But yeah, perhaps I build one just for fun. How much do I need?
To replace* around 11,000 solar panels that would be: 11,000 / (510/60W = 8,5) = 1,295 = 130 sets of (14 boilers + 10 engines + 14 inserters + 1 pump). Sick

*Instead of destructing them I would just let the whole plants supply the power over one pole (hey, did anyone hear about the achievement of Georg Simon Ohm?) to be able to switch them on and of entirely. Would be interesting to see the change of the map

But don't try this in the coop. One pole to destroy them all

i had quite a laugh out of the "what?" "why?" "where?" five minutes that every player need before anyone can start.
i wish they woud use "p" to see what is producing and what not. Anyways i'm still following it.

The latest episode (14) is live now! http://youtu.be/pPp1qnYaflw

Check it out! C'mon! You know you want to!

Probably the most frustrated I've been playing this game since I was a brand new player, and I had way too much caffeine to drink that day, but it makes for good watching :P
