I am experiencing the same issue. Version [0.17.4] and previously also on [0.17.4]. Sudden crash.
After some investigation:
It happens when loaded leaving train starts moving forward but the route is planned in opposite way. This can be considered as bad rails path desing and issue dissappear when the signals marked by arrow are removed.

It happens when loaded leaving train starts moving forward but the route is planned in opposite way. This can be considered as bad rails path desing and issue dissappear when the signals marked by arrow are removed.

Hello, I can't be sure, as I don't have a way to reproduce your problem, but there is a big chance it is the same problem I just fixed for 0.17.5 (viewtopic.php?f=30&t=66095)
