First some system info:
Windows 10 virtual machine (QEMU) with PCIe pass-through (might be related to virtualization?)
AMD Ryzen 1700X (8 cores assigend to the VM)
ASRock Taichi X370 (newest BIOS/UEFI)
Powercolor RX Vega 64
32GB RAM (VM has 17GB assigned)
Mods used:
Auto Deconstruct (0.1.11)
Auto Fill (2.0.1)
EvoGUI (0.4.302)
Long Reach (0.0.12)
Radar Grid Guide (0.16.1)
Resource Spawner Overhaul (3.8.3)
Tree Collison (0.4.2)
Upgrade Builder and Planner (1.5.3)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start the game via Steam
2. Load the affected save game
3a. Immediate crash
3b. Walk to the left, then to the top, crash.
I recorded a video of the issue: https://openload.cc/l9i1z0vcbd/2019-02-28_18-29-18_mkv
I tried it a few times and it mostly took less than a minute for the crash to happen. Sometimes the game even closes without the "open log file dialog".
Save game:
Edit: After a system restart everything seems to work fine again. Maybe the crash dump is helpful anyway.
[0.16.51] Crash shortly after loading save game (EntityRenderer::prepareRow)
Re: [0.16.51] Crash shortly after loading save game (EntityRenderer::prepareRow)
So the proposed solutions seems to be to update the Ryzen chipset drivers.
The thing is: This is a virtualized environment. The VM doesn't have the Ryzen chipset. It has a Q35 (QEMU) chipset.
The host is running a Linux 5.0 kernel, so I can't update anything there either.
