Unlinking steam from factorio account?

Asking for a friend (yarly ^^).

So my friend has bought the steam version of factorio a few years ago and never much played it. Now that we want to play modded MP again he's got the problem that he can't log into the mod portal because:

• His steam account is linked to some factorio account, but he doesn't know the username, password or email address of the account.
• There's a chance that the email address used is too old and he doesn't have access to it anymore.
• There's also a chance that he own the whole domain of the email address, even if he doesn't remember the name of the email account (so might be able to use catch-all).

Given this situation, is there any way to get his steam account "unlinked" so he can create a new factorio account? Or at least send a password recovery mail and hope it arrives? Or...something else?

I linked my Steam to the wrong account

You can unlink your Steam account from your profile page if the membership is from Steam.

Alternatively, you can send us a email at support@factorio.com with your Factorio username and Steam ID64 and we can sort it out.

So, email support. Or try logging in on factorio.com via steam (the grey "sign in via steam" button) and seeing what account you(r friend) ends up logged in as and disconnect it from there. Probably easier.

As noted above username is unknown though.
