Easiest way to to know energy storage/production for laser turrents
Easiest way to to know energy storage/production for laser turrents
Is there an easier way than to look at what steam turbines/accumulators you have can produce in total, and see if the usage spikes of laser turrets in the power graph reach that high?
Re: Easiest way to to know energy storage/production for laser turrents
I guess instead of looking for laser turret spikes you could do a rough estimation how many towers you'd expect to fire during an attack at most simultaneusly, depending on your tower setup and then compare that with with the max amount of power possible, that way you wouldn't have to wait for particular wave and can also impose your own demands ala "can handle 3 attacks at the same time".
Aside from that there are several ways to accomplish the basic goal but nothingI'd call 'easier' comes to mind.

Allegedly, a turret consumes 1.2MW when shooting, but this iirc increases with upgrades. If that's correct, you'd need 4 accumulators per expected active turret to keep up with demand for a while, by rough calculation ~20 seconds of shooting.

Well, actually the Wiki is more precise than that. In the linked article at the top it says:Musil wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 5:34 pm Wiki is your friend:

I believe that the new tooltips (stable since 0.17.79) do show the energy per shot as well.Wiki wrote: Each shot costs 800kJ of energy; as the shooting speed increases through upgrades, so too does the power required to keep firing.
