[0.17.79] Placing train cars while walking sometimes does not connect them

I walked along a train track holding the mouse button down to place train cargo cars and all the cars were placed packed tightly together and not connected.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to reproduce this. Has anybody else run into this and do you have more info?

All the details I have are: I was walking north on the right side of north/south tracks. It was a straight section of track not connected to any other rail networks yet. There was no locomotive or other cars placed yet. It happened with all 6 of the 6 cargo cars I placed. If I can get it to happen again I'll update here.

This happens when wagon placement on one end is blocked by a a gate or the player and is not a bug, if you find a way to produce this on open track let us know.
