[0.17.x] Save and Load Quickbar Layouts like blueprints

This is by far the #1 feature that I want to see in Factorio. I can't count how many times I've fired the game up, started a new game, realized I'd have to spend 10 minutes swapping between saves to get my hotbars set up properly, and just quit.

Just here to pitch in that I would LOVE to see this feature become a thing.
I spend the first couple of minutes on EVERY single server I join setting up my hotbar (and logistics requests) with the same bar. It gets tiresome after doing it for the 69th time in a week. Toolbar presets (and perhaps logistic request presets) would be absolutely amazing

I disagree : the tedium of always having to refill my vehicles with ammo/fuel over and over again every time I pick them up discourages me to use vehicles in general
This into vanilla would be a nice QoL without altering the game balance. I remember seeing a mod for that, but should be into vanilla.

But now, we're on the verge of going off topic. As a summary, whatever gets repeated over and over should be as much automatable as possible, including export/import and/or creating presets.

Hi there

this stuff could be very usefull.
When you start a new game always it's need to set toolbar.

So why don't make a new blueprint page... toolbar page
Where you can set shortcuts or copy that you already use.

What ?

Being able to have a persistent setup of how your quick bars are laid out so that you automagically have the filters how you want between save games.

Why ?

You're playing on your own map, you've got your quick bars set up exactly how you want them, everything is dandy..
Your buddy invites you to do a multiplayer with him/her, and suddenly your beautifully laid out quick bars are gone. You have to manually set the bars up each time, which is annoying.
As someone who plays solo, self hosted multiplayer, and multiple 3rd party multiplayers servers, having a persistent layout that I can quickly load in would be amazing.

It's troublesome to set up a complete shortcut bar. I don't want it to become blank when creating a new archive.

You may say that there are mods that support this feature, but their functionality is not perfect. Besides, I don't want to install an additional mod just because of this small feature. If the official can support this feature (like saving blueprints), that would be great. I hope you can consider it.

In Space Age, I find myself wanting a different set of quickbars for each surface, especially in the earlier parts of the game. It would be useful if we could save a set of quickbars and load it later.

I use the Quick Bar Switcher mod which helps - I use quickbars 1-4 for Nauvis, and quickbars 5-8 for whatever other surface I'm on. But it would be cool if I could save the quickbar settings and load them when I switch surfaces.

You can use my mod Picklocks QuickBar Import/Export for this.

This mod allows you to export the current Quickbar settings as a string and import it when you switch planets (surfaces). But be aware that the import process is destructive. You cannot restore the old configuration once a string has been imported.

I agree that some form of this should end up in the game, and the devs will surely do a great job at it.

Nice to hear this from staff... am I too late to +1 this, hoping to see it in, I dunno, 2.0.70 or 2.0.71 or something?

I know there's the mod, but I'd love to see it in base game, to be able to use it for a deliberately non-modded playthrough.

And just to be clear, the feature I'm requesting is a way to import (and presumably export, but could be import-from-save, with no export, and that'd work for me) the full set of all 100 hotbar shortcuts (10 bars of 10 selections).
