I'm borrowing from Arma 3 in that they are highly modded as well. They have a mod manager on their launcher that will save profiles. Some servers have very specific mods that need to be loaded to play there. Some have like up to 15 or more mods.. It can be a problem to keep going back and forth to check and uncheck the mods for each server so.. they added an area where you can save that as a profile and make up a name for it. Actually they now will autoload, download, and update the mod for you as well... you have to ok it. It's not 'automatic"
I like to play different mods on different days. So it would work like this. I set up bob's mods and get all the other little mods I like set up then save that as a profile. I can then unload all of bobs and load yuoki industries in the way I like it and save that as a profile. I can then just click between the two with one click and play a bob's or yuoki saved game. Yes, the game would still need to reboot... Unless they did a launcher where all of this could happen outside of the game.
Not a game changer. Nothing major and I'm sure it's pretty easy to do. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not already in the works or already asked for and I was just too lazy to see it. . lol Could it be a mod? lol Mod inception.

Re: Mod Manager - Profiles or Groups?
I agree that this would be a useful feature.
Re: Mod Manager - Profiles or Groups?
What is the status on this ?
I am hosting several multiplayer game with different combination of mods and it is extremely tedious to remember which mod to enable and to restart the game when I forget one or add one too many.

You know that you can define a mod-directory for each game?

You can also use the „sync mods with save“ button in the top right corner of the „load game“ menu.
Mods: Shortcuts for 1.1, ick's Sea Block, ick's vanilla tweaks
