Can we plz have Bitters version that can:
- Fly ( So they ignore walls etc. ) + Maybe some special Anti fly turret
- Swim ( So they can ignore water ) + Maybe some special Anti swim turret
- Dig ( So they can dig tunels and attack anywhere ) - rare type of bitter but we can block them for example with ref. concrete?
so they can't dig tunels under concrete and have to come out and fight
Game is atm. too easy in my opinion...
High level of Laser Turrets can melt behemods in no time...
ofc. for some ppl it might be too hard to deal with Flying / Swimming / Digging Bitters so maybe add Check box in NewGame Menu
to spawn or not to spawn Special Bitter Units?...
[ ] Spawn Flying Enemies
[ ] Spawn Swimming Enemies
[X] Spawn Underground Enemies
??

There are lots of such suggestions here. Some good starting point is

Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Re: Fly, Swim, Dig !...
I dislike the idea of a turret that can only target one type of enemy, because it's useless for every other type of enemy, and since enemies aren't the main focus of Factorio a turret that can only target one type of enemy isn't very interesting.
However, I would like to see more variation in the types of enemies we have, just to make the world feel more alive.

What kind of challenge do you think to get with these changes? Then you should build several types of turrets everywhere. There would not be any strategic decisions anymore. Now player can use nature as defense and save significant amount of game resources and work by wise choice. I like such challenge much more than tedious but brainless spamming of several types of defenses everywhere. In my opinion there should be much more such strategic decisions. Different enemies and resources on different biomes which would have their pros and cons. It would give different playthroughs and more interesting content in gaming. Then the game would look like real engineering which is making compromises and choosing strategies and tactics instead of straightforward running to one possible objective by one possible (or one clearly the most efficient) route at 100 % utilization of every component.
