Hi,

I did re-install the mods many times. And even re-installed the game completely. But I keep getting a crash while loading this save (as well as trying to load previous autosaves with the save mod combinations).

I am putting the log file and the saves (lastest ones and a previous autosave from 10min prior) in a zip file.

Two additional things:
1) it fails to load (with the error message above) even with all mods disabled (Thx to Zicandar on pY discord for figuring that one out)
2) I am attaching the last save that loads fine (but ~30hours earlier unfortunately)
3) and it did not crash/kick me out of the game at first. It failed to reload the save (and still fails now) that I wanted to reload. So some sort of save corruption.

How can I get the mods installed? When I sync mods it fails to load pypostprocess and then none of the py mods load.

Hi, I'm also a PY player, although using a different set of mods from Nasdaq. So I tried to load the save with my set of mods, as well as no mods enabled, and got the exact same crash in both cases. I'm currently working on trying to get the same mod set synced as well.

I think the reason it will fail to load is a problem with the portal version of transport bots being incompatible with pypostprocessing. For me it simply got stuck there, seemingly forever.
To solve this I used this version of the mod, gotten from the PY Google Drive.
I don't know the linking rules here, so I have skipped putting the direct download link in. But can do so if you want me to?

Now that I have done that exact process, suddenly the save will load just fine.

Further information:
The crash seems to happen consistently if I disable the Transport drones mod. But have all the others synced on.

What is crazy is that I deleted all my mods. Zicandar sent me HIS mod folder with which he can open my save. And I am getting the same failure to load (the windows message in my original post, not the dependency loop that people have been talking about)

That s the center of the issue. How can he load my save just fine with all the appropriate mods, while I am getting this force.getIndex() error loading the same save with HIS mod directory? It means that it cannot be the save or the mods no?

Yet another update, while it works fine if I don't touch the mod list after having synced and replaced the transport drones mod with the one from PY's GDrive.
If I disable ANY mod, (tested with for example todo list), it will crash upon attempting to load the save file.

This is becoming wierder.

So Zicandar sent me his entire %APPDATA%/Factorio folder including his mods and his renamed version of my save. Deleted all my factorio folder to replace with his. He can load my save and I still get this force.getIndex() crash.

Even more interesting:
It can crash even without disabling mods, if startup mod settings are changed.
So far map and player settings seem fine to change from the main menu, but if I change anything from startup settings it seems to cause a crash when loading.

I have worked a bit with Nasdaq via discord to try figure stuff out, and it took a while to really limit stuff. Fortunately he can at least continue with his save for now.

Ok, I am done testing for now, my conclusions are the following:
1. The transport drone mod needs to be replaced by the one from PY's google drive, (likely unrelated?), here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... share_link
2. The exact mods must be used, no additions or removals. Any change to the list of mods will cause it to crash when attempting to load the save.
3. Any changes to startup settings will cause it to crash when attempting to load the save.
4. New saves don't seem to resolve this issue.
5. Changes to map settings or player settings will not cause the issue. (These settings from main menu under the settings->mod settings).
6. The older save with the same mod list does not seem to have this issue.
7. (Unknown if relevant) I have the setting for syncing mod settings per save enabled, perhaps that is why it would load for me once I also synced the mods? (+manual overwriting of transport drones)

I am trying to reproduce the crash in 1.1.76 or 1.1.78 (not yet released) and whatever i do the save file loads fine up to loading this save file with no mods enabled. Moving to pending unless you can still reproduce the crash in 1.1.76 or later.
