Dropping and returning items should make more distinct sounds

Post by mchoquette »

TL;DR
Returning an item to my inventory and putting it in a chest/machine (using either z or ctrl-click) should be more audibly distinguishable.

What ?
From what I can tell, placing an item from my inventory in something (e.g. a chest/machine/lab/turret/etc, not the ground) makes an item-dependent noise, while returning it to my inventory (using the default keybinding Q) makes a quieter version of the same noise. I'd like the two noises to be more substantially different.
Why ?
In the early game I spend time manually arming turrets with Z, and when I return the bullets to my inventory it makes functionally the same sound, confusing me into thinking I placed one extra bullet. The same thing comes up with any manual resource splitting in the early game (coal to furnaces, science to labs, etc).
