The picker belt brush suggestion could actually be a good solution. Even if it was limited to 4 belts wide, it would resolve the main issue a lot of us have of building large busses of belts.

This is so annoying.

If I would have wanted to place down an underground belt I would have done so myself. When Im placing a BELT Im expecting a BELT to be placed instead of the game deciding it knows better than me and placing something else.

yes, since this is most annoying when trying to build a bus which is a few belts wide, have to click each time i switch belts as i'm running along. i wont run along multiple times and build each belt parallel line one after another.

So, i have to unlearn 10 000 hours of belt laying because someone decided "they will get used to it"?
That's very frustrating. 1 hour in the space age extension and first rage quit, really not cool.

I usually had the feature enabled, but there are times when having it off is good. I think a key combination to let me drag belts sideways from the default mode would be good.

This has got to be THE SINGLE MOST annoying change to the game to date.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TURN THIS OFF or at least into an option again.

After nearly 10 years and over 6000Hrs of addiction, i'm actually thinking about a refund. WTF

And ZERO responds from the devs on this thread.

I honestly thought the devestator enemy would be the most annoying: oh great, the giant worm just destroyed 10 hours of work... nice
(and it still might be, as that is also a "feature" you cannot turn off)

But Holy Moly, this smart belt sh*t is doing my brain in and making the game extremely frustrating to play. (and no devs, we will NOT just get used to it!!)

I registered for the forums specifically and only to say I'm getting on this train as well - refunding SA until we get this back. I cannot stand the "too bad get used to it" attitude that devs these days think is acceptable.

Recently started playing again (yay space age).

But wtf is this nonsense :P, I cannot find a way to turn this off.

@Development, please add a turn on/off option :)

+1, I just don't get they would remove it all together, I like to use it occasionally, but when I'm building my bus, or other multilane spaghetti it's horrible with this setting on.

You definitely won’t be able to build for 10 hours in a demolisher zone. I don’t think you can even build for 10 minutes before it arrives and demands a fight. What you described is never going to happen :roll:
Also I’m 99% sure you can actually turn them off anyway.

Just wanna say my want for "Dumb Belt Dragging" has only increased.

I really, desperately want this to be an option. It's really messing with my workflow.

From what was showin in FFFs I assume it can be lured into the base out of it's zone (intentionally or not). There was screenshot of demolisher into someone's base.

It only aggroes on you if you attack it directly (as seen in reveal video), and it doesn’t aggro on nearby buildings as long as they’re outside its zone (I’ve seen it in youtube videos, when people build their base directly at the border of their safe area). So you’d have to deliberately kite it into your base for it to do any damage there

Good for you. I'm not getting used to constantly rebuild undergrounds after this feature placed them.

Why would you have to rebuild Undergrounds after this auto-places undergrounds? They're already built.
