Allow blueprint & co to travel with us into space
Currently you need empty inventory to travel to space, it's annoying when you are like me and have often blueprint, deconstruction and upgrade planner blueprint in your inventory. This should not prevent player to go to space.

most definitely +1.
What, I can put a nuclear reactor in my pocket but I cannot bring some blue print papers into space?? WTH

Anyone puts them in game blueprint ?
Before travelling, when the message tell you to remove them, so you can access them later. I didn't do that before space age x)

I do but that annoying I use my inventory as "temporary blueprint that I currently work on or temporary modify" filling my library with random blueprint is annoying. This library is supposed to be my "clean bookmark" place. If the game let me place bookmark into my inventory I want to be able to go to place with them.

Re: Allow blueprint & co to travel with us into space
Another point in favor of this:
Blueprints and upgrade plans are not removed when you enable "trash unrequested" in personal logistics. There isn't a straightforward way to add them with the logistics robots when you get back either. This means you must manually discard and recover these items each time you come and go as extra steps.
I think the most intuitive solution is to allow these items to travel.

Extend it to all abstract items: red and green wires, spidertron and artillery remotes, and modded abstract items should also be allowed.

I use the "game blueprint" for that, and my clean blueprint goes into "my blueprint", the one that is kept over several games., 100% recommendStargateur wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2024 1:05 am I do but that annoying I use my inventory as "temporary blueprint that I currently work on or temporary modify" filling my library with random blueprint is annoying. How do you make a spidertron or an artillery remote nowadays or even a red wire to travel with ?Byrnorthil wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 11:28 pm Extend it to all abstract items: red and green wires, spidertron and artillery remotes, and modded abstract items should also be allowed.
I tried but i think it's impossible to travel with them because they don't exist anymore. It's like when you have a blueprint in the "game library", it's an abstract item that you can access from anywhere without having to travel with it, contrary to having the blueprint as a physical item, which you can't travel with.

[SA] Allow blueprint-like entities while entering the rocket silo
TL;DR
(Space Age only) Blueprint-like entities (blueprint, BP book, upgrade/decon planners, etc.) should be allowed in the inventory while entering the rocket silo. Why?
Multiple reasons to do so:- These abstract entities are ignored for the auto-trashing, so disabling all requests leaves them in the inventory
- Character's inventory still exists while on the space platform -- if you make such abstract entity while in the remote view -- it will be put to the character's inventory and later will be accessible from it (or can be accessed via taskbar if initially placed there)
- As was said on Discord, the "empty inventory" check is done on C-part of the game, so it can't be changed/fixed/worked-around by mods.
Re: [SA] Allow blueprint-like entities while entering the rocket silo
None of these items should ever be in your inventory for long. They take up space, and can be lost when you die or trash your items by mistake.
That's what the blueprint library is for. Press B and put them there. It has a tab for "global" blueprints for your player, and for "current game".

I know that blueprint library exists. I use it a lot, but some things are not for the library.Soul-Burn wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:05 pm None of these items should ever be in your inventory for long. They take up space, and can be lost when you die or trash your items by mistake.

[Koub] Merged into an older thread with the same suggestion

Re: Allow blueprint & co to travel with us into space
By the way: If there is some weird technical issue with implementing that: Why not remove the ability to have blueprints in your inventory completely and have a special section/book in the game blueprints for "automatically created blueprints" instead of putting them into inventory?
Re: Allow blueprint & co to travel with us into space
the "game blueprints" tab is heavily used for multiplayer purposes, which mean with friends i don't have 2 libraries for myself, just 1; in this case the player inventory helps me having a 2nd "personal" blueprint storagemmmPI wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 12:33 amI use the "game blueprint" for that, and my clean blueprint goes into "my blueprint", the one that is kept over several games., 100% recommendStargateur wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2024 1:05 am I do but that annoying I use my inventory as "temporary blueprint that I currently work on or temporary modify" filling my library with random blueprint is annoying. then let's keep blueprints when we die too? seems legitSoul-Burn wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:05 pm None of these items should ever be in your inventory for long. They take up space, and can be lost when you die or trash your items by mistake.

i don't mind loosing them because i find it fun to have to recover stuff when i die but i wanted to add this suggestion just to counter this point
everybody should use their inventories the wait they want to, and the blueprint library is just a part of all storage capabilities
to this day i still grieve the loss of hotbar as another inventory *tears*

Re: Allow blueprint & co to travel with us into space
It's good to use the "game blueprint" in multiplayer. You can make a book for yourself and keep your personnal blueprint there. Easy. Not an excuse for clogging your inventory with them imo.
TL DR: those item do not exist in the game anymore, red green wire , the remotes, you can't have them in your inventory, requesting that travel be allowed with them makes no sensesiniox wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 6:59 pmTLDR;Byrnorthil wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 11:28 pm +1

I just wanted to post a bug for this.
When I have deconstruction planner in inventory, I cannot travel to space. If I put it into blueprints book, I can.
This is ridiculous
