When riding a spidertron, I briefly walked through a mid-air fire stream from a firing flamethower turret and it (seemingly) permanently set my spidertron on fire. I'm not sure if this is intended behaviour. I expected the afterburn to only last a few seconds but it just kept going.
In the attached save i have a spidertron that starts out with about ~70% health and is on fire, and it then burns to a crisp.

Unfortunately this appears to be working as intended. At their current tech, your flamethrower turrets deal 7.4× damage. Even with the 60%+15 fire damage resistance that spidertrons get, it's not enough to outpace the afterburn, which is dealing something like 696 damage per second. Some energy shields may have helped absorb most of the damage.
