How about an entirely new Deconstuction Chest. The idea is, the Constuction Robots will prioritize the Deconstruction Chest and also the chest itself will act as an Active Provider Chest, so that the Logistic Robots can distribute the items through the rest of the network.
My main struggle is with the Construction Robots, because they can carry only one item at a time, I often struggle with deconstructing large districts because of it. The bots will ignore all empty Storage Chests and fly all the way to the other end of the Logistic Network to dump the 1 rail they picked, into the one Storage Chest with 1 rail in it, putting filters works, but with only one filter per chest... depending on the mods I use, I have to put hundreads of chests.

Try out keeping a squad of 5-10 spidertrons with 100 bots each. With "trash unrequested" and logistic request groups this is more practical than ever.
Personally I have at least one specialised spider for each kind of task (belts+inserters+assemblers; walls+turrets; rails; etc), and copy-paste that template onto as many spiders in the builder group as necessary for the particular construction task. The spiders can walk over to the logistics hub to speed up resupply and then carry the goods + bots to wherever they're needed. Building from chunk-sized modular BPs is near-instant, as is deconstructing things.

I've been using them to build stuff around the map, but it never crossed my mind to use them for deconstruction. I'm gonna give it a try ASAP!rollc_at wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 2:19 pm Try out keeping a squad of 5-10 spidertrons with 100 bots each.
