Show "Pollution: -%" for Efficiency module

Post by Amiphite »

As far as I remember, the efficiency module used to reduce the pollution produced by the machines in which it was inserted, and I think this was even indicated in its description, but now there is no mention of pollution, although in fact it still reduces the pollution produced so could you add it if it's techically possible. Actual for 2.0.32 stable.

I agree. There is no where in-game that shows this, and it took me hundreds of hours to find out. It definitely should be implemented for ease of usage.

I also think this should also show for speed modules, since they modify the machine's pollution output, too.

It’s not shown for either of these because they don’t directly affect pollution. They affect power consumption, which then itself affects pollution. Productivity modules list it specifically, because they separately affect pollution on top of power consumption. Speed and efficiency don’t do this. Machines should show it, not the modules themselves.

So there are at least these 2 options or both:
1) Changing the tooltip text for efficiency modules, clearly saying that reducing energy cost also reduces pollution.

2) New page or 2 to ingame tips about pollution. I just now did a word search in tips with "poll" and it came out nothing.
