I launched Factorio via the app shortcut and it started normally. Before loading my save, I changed the desktop to check on emails/firefox. The game title screen runs normally in the background. After a few minutes, I get achievement pings from both the game and steam. I switch desktops to see that the game is still on the title screen with the animations/example factories running in the background. The save is normal and the game progresses, but on steam (and presumably in factorio) I have a number of additional achievements.
Specifically, I got the achievements:
- Fusion power
- Research with promethium
- Size doesn't matter
- Going to shattered planet 2
- Express delivery
- Crafting with speed
- Crafting with quality
- Pyromaniac
- Minions
- Lazy bastard
The intermediate achievements such as "Going to shattered planet 1" and "Work around the clock" are still locked on steam.
