Unlock trigger technologies after first run through

Post by Amarula »

TL;DR
Once you have played version 2.0 and unlocked all the new trigger technologies, automatically unlock them for subsequent games.
What?
I suggest that you only have to unlock research trigger technologies once. Once blueprints are unlocked the first time you get to construction robots, in every subsequent game you start out with access to your blueprint library. You don't have to unlock blueprints in every game. In the same way, once you have triggered a technology whether through gathering materials or crafting items or placing entities, in subsequent games I suggest you would no longer need to trigger those events to unlock technologies for lab research.
Why?
The new trigger technologies are great for guiding new players through the technology tree. They have been great for old timers like me experiencing the new planets and all the new resources and technologies in Space Age. However, once you have unlocked say oil processing, it feels awkward the next time you start a new game to have to make and place a pumpjack to pump some crude oil before you can go ahead and research an oil refinery. You no longer need that guidance as to what is coming up in the technology tree. Instead of feeling like a helpful guide to what you need to do to progress, it feels like an unnecessary and annoying restriction.
