Mod request: Realistic metal smelting

Good day, engineers.
Bob's mods have been updated relatively recently, and since Angel's mods are still in the works, I tried to find something close. Specifically, I'm interested in a more "realistic" process of metal smelting. In Angel's mods, this is represented by various machines. I found one suitable mod, but it's for version 1.1. Are there any other similar mods for 2.0 that are compatible with Bob's mods?
I play without DLC, and I have no desire to play 1.1 just for Angel.
How hard is it to write a mod like this? I've never worked with lua, will it be hard to add a couple of machines and recipes?
