Hi, tried running Factorio on my old laptop that used to be able to run 1.1.80 but now I can't run 2.0.47.
I'm wondering if this is fixable?
I've tried to force DirectX and OpenGL to to avail...
Game crashes on startup on old laptop.

Re: Game crashes on startup on old laptop.
No idea if fixable, but your hardware does not meet minimum requirements.

Ah, well, I'm not surprised but it did work, maybe I'll have to try an older version...

You might have better luck running Linux, since it tends to run much better than Windows on most hardware.
The easiest way to try it is: .

You can just boot from a USB and give it a shot to see if it works without touching anything on your hard drive. If it works, you can install it on your hard drive, side-by-side with Windows 10, if you want to keep it.
That being said... you still probably won't be able to run a very big factory on that hardware.
