Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing
Welcome on forums. One of those logs points at a crash when drawing fluid visualisation on a pipe to ground, something that is an super common operation and yet we do not see it crashing to many players which makes me believe the issue is actually with your hardware. Log says you have 13700KF cpu and i am aware there were some issues with microcode for 13/14th gen intel cpu's so please update your bios to make sure you are running on latest microcode for that processor to stop further degradation of your cpu.
Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
I have Bios up to date. Well there is 9 days old beta version of new bios so I can try that.?
Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
If your CPU has been damaged, this damage may be permanent, and you may never reach 100% stable operation out of your CPU. Check your CPU out and replace if it is found as a reason for your instability with Factorio game. If it's still under warranty, Intel should accept RMA and replace it with newer model, or give you a refund.Cain wrote: Sat May 31, 2025 12:08 pm I have Bios up to date. Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
I had crashes almost from start (PC is 2y old) but only in Cyberpunk. As of last month or so factorio started to crash once a week maybe, last two weeks crashing became more often so I reinstalled whole windows and this week I am crashing within 1 or 2 hours of playing.
How do I check my CPU?
Thx

Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
It seems that your CPU is indeed affected by incorrect voltage. It may have degraded further in recent weeks.Cain wrote: Sat May 31, 2025 12:31 pm I had crashes almost from start (PC is 2y old) but only in Cyberpunk. You can stress test the CPU using Prime95, for example. Let it run overnight — a healthy CPU should show 100% correct calculations, no overheating, no reboots, BSODs, or crashes. If the CPU is damaged or degraded, you’ll likely see instability during the test.

Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
Benchmarks are quite unreliable for revealing this issue, running the shader compilation on a UE5 game seems to catch it even on systems that do not show other symptoms yet.
Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
Well..I ran the prime
Whats next?Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
I don't know about Unreal Engine 5 shader compilation and if it's free and available, never tried it. Probably worth checking out.
But while you are at it, maybe try Memtest86+ as well. Just to make sure your memory is stable. You can download it and flash into a USB, link: https://memtest.org/

Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
I ran memtest yesterday morning. also everything was OK.
Also reseated my GPU and RAM and cleaned the whole thing.

That's very good troubleshooting you did so far. Keep us posted how the rig behaves.
Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
Today I had one crash I think before noon. After that, smooth gameplay.
Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
You should have zero crashes, even one is unacceptable. Does any other software crash? If you idle PC overnight, does it ever crash?
Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
True
Sometimes, valorant crashes, but thats not just me, so I take it as a feature. Many times its their vgk.sys process that gives me BSOD

Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
Still, this could be your CPU being faulty. Riotgames have an article about this:Cain wrote: Sun Jun 01, 2025 11:17 pm TrueSometimes, valorant crashes, but thats not just me, so I take it as a feature. Many times its their vgk.sys process that gives me BSOD

They say, quote:
Hardware Recall
If the below steps don't work, this may be a hardware issue that can only be resolved by contacting Intel for a replacement CPU. Check Intel's Site for more details.
Re: [2.0.47] Factorio keeps crashing (EntityWithHealth::drawFluidVisualizationInternal)
So I updated BIOS to beta version that was available, it said about repairing some 0x12 and I have stable run for 3 days now...
