Train interrupts should be copiable like logistic groups

Post by PostmodernPrometheus »

TL;DR
A train interrupt should be copiable like an logistic group (add the train interrupt then rename it to create a copy)
What?
The locomotive schedule screen should make the names of the interrupts editable, which creates a copy. This is how logistic groups work. If in the locomotive schedule you click the pencil and rename the interrupt in the interrupt-editing popup, you've renamed all instances of the interrupt instead of copying the interrupt.
Why?
[1] It's natural to spend a lot of time editing logistic groups, then expect train interrupts to work the same way.

[2] There doesn't seem to be any way at all to copy a train interrupt, then edit the copy and not the original.

Long and hilarious way that this bit me
My generic-dry-goods train group has an idle interrupt - if the train is empty and all destination stations are full, go to the depot. It's important that the train be empty so that a full train remains and blocks the pickup station.

I made a new train group that only carries one type of cargo, so trains in this group are allowed to go to the depot even if the train isn't empty. I tried to copy my "idle" interrupt and edit the copy like I would a logistic group but what actually happened is that I renamed the original interrupt and edited it.

Pretty soon I noticed all my space platforms were waiting at Nauvis, which was short on everything but plastic because every train in my base was idling at the depot, full of plastic (presumably plastic is the most centralized pickup station with the lowest usage).

I had to manually create a new idle interrupt for my generic-dry-goods train group, then babysit an unlimited plastic dropoff station to empty all those trains.
