Please add the ability to select the ingredient number while parametrizing

Post by outRAGE1 »

I want to make a blueprint of this:
Image
I Want to parametrize everything so I'd need to only choose the Tier 3 module i want to build.
Image
Problem: In order to make the Tier 2 module the 3rd ingredient of the Tier 3 factory, I have to make a pointless constant combinator with two Fake Variables so i'm able to assign them to Ingredient #1 and #2 for the Tier 3 factory, and another two fake variables for the ingredients of the Tier 2 factory.

And now it does work.

It would be nice to be able to choose what ingredient number is the parameter you are trying to assign. If 'this' factory is the Tier 2 module of the factory right next to it wich is Tier 3, it would be better to be able to say "Hey, this factory is making the 3rd ingredient of the Parameter 2", instead of making two fake variables and assigning them to ingredients #1 and #2, so you can make the parameter you want ingredient #3.

Extra: If you are considering this, please consider also being able to watch the ingredients of the things you are selecting while in the "parametrize" window. Because right now you have to memorize wich ingredients and on wich order the thing you want to build has. Just simply while I hover on the item selection screen, show me the recipe of said thing im hovering over. It would save so much time.
Thank you for your time :)

Hard +1 on that.
Exactly the same use-case, trying to make parameterized modules quality enrichment facility.
Fulgora is the best planet. Vulcanus needs rework. Feel free to prove me wrong.

If viewtopic.php?t=129278 gets fixed, you could do "-1*(sign(p1_r-10000)+sign(p2_r-10000)+sign(p3_r-10000)+sign(p4_r-10000)+sign(p5_r-10000)+sign(p6_r-10000))" to get the number of ingredients (assuming parameters 1 through 6 are set as ingredients of parameter 0).
