Cursed legendary holmium plate setup

Each instance is designed to occupy an entire vault island to produce ~150 legendary plates per minute into the output belt on the left. It uses the hit-cars-with-a-train trick to quickly destroy unwanted byproducts to focus on EM-plant upcycling. By default it destroys a lot of surplus holmium so one can siphon some holmium solution from each island for science. One island's surplus can support ~2k legendary SPM.

Each island expects an independent roboport network. It automatically produces new cars and the train fuel required to crush those cars. Each island also fills a rocket silo with legendary plates and has a flexible silo for shipping holmium ore / stone, in case one wants to make supercapacitors in space or ship legendary plates to Aquilo. Legendary EM plants / reinforced concrete / steel / blue chips are available over the flexible silo as byproducts.

I'm very glad you like it!

One thing I thought of but didn't do is upcycling epic / rare holmium plates with supercapacitors at 4 productivity + 1 quality. In simulation it gives quite a bit better yield, but getting the required "packaging materials" is a logistics nightmare.

And in hindsight I really should have built this with legendary lightening collectors.

I'm not one to reuse a blueprint without some modification to feel like i've done something, what i get from the setup you posted is that you don't need recycler to recycle x). The train destroying cars striked me the most ! There are many things on the design i have not yet seen like the purpose of the car on belts on the left because i had mods in the game when i tried to import some things didn't work ( duuuh) i will give it another try for sure.

I tried to import because i was curious, it already made me wants to make a setup on Nauvis , pre-recycler and even pre-space, that would use train to maybe void iron ore that is not of "rare quality" or something, "for the sake of it" , maybe a "mall" where cars would be used to "trash" items that are not quality, so many possibilities ! I have to study how it's done x)

I have not (that) much consideration for the yields, as i feel what inspired me is the concept, it's impressive that's it's functionnal and not just a proof of concept, it makes it "seem" like there's room for anyone like me to try and make a "rougher-yet-still-working" version of just a small part of the whole build, but it would still be the case if the yield was terrible , no problem there x)
