The train visualisation would be a useful thing - if it actually worked correctly, but it currently disagrees with the actual train part of the game.
I have found on numerous occasions that the game disagrees with the wagon visualisation. The simplest case is a curve. In the picture below, there are two trains in automatic mode (LCC) - the game thinks that there is enough space for the front train.
The visualisation (I am hovering over the signal at the top) says there isn't enough space. When moving the right signal further away, the visualisation correctly shows more wagons.
The visualisation should agree with the game.

Re: Train visualisation incorrect
Seems to be exactly the same bug, yes. Unfortunately, searching for train visualisions didn't find that report. Sorry for the duplicate.
I must say (refering to the linked bug report), calling this not a bug is a whole new level of reality distortion. So what is the point of the train visualisation if it wrong and I need to use guess and verify anyway?

Re: Train visualisation incorrect
I don't know if it's the new rail lengths in 2.0, but I am playing factorio extensively since 0.14, and up to 1.1, this has never been an issue, so I assume it happens a lot more in 2.0, or at least more common with the kind of loops I build my train stations with.
