Inclusive filter option for Splitters

TL;DR

Add an "inclusive filter" option to splitters, so unfiltered items can go to both outputs, not just one.

What?

Currently, splitters can only send exclusively designated items to one output lane, as per the filter configuration. I propose an enhancement: a new "Inclusive Filter" toggle in the splitter UI.

When enabled while using an output filter, items not filtered are allowed to go to either output belt, depending on availability, rather than being restricted to only the specified side.

Here's a mockup of the updated splitter UI with the proposed "Inclusive" checkbox added beneath the existing "Output Priority" option:

Why?

This feature would enhance the usability and efficiency of splitters. Currently, players often have to use multiple splitters to get filtered items to go to both sides.

So the idea is that you create a lane that the filtered item HAS to go, without locking the unfiltered items from going to the filtered lane?

I believe you can do with some cleaver belts and splitters, but I like this idea.

I agree this is an interesting idea. A better way to describe it is putting a blacklist filter for a particular on one of the outputs.

I use this setup anywhere that I want to take an "Output" from a Sushi Bus, without causing stoppages. I think it is the same idea as what is being described here?

If it could be done in a single Splitter that would save a few Entities - but do we really need yet another Toggle switch?
